Silent Night - Plein Air
Artists thoughts " Painted one winters night, it was the first full moon of the New Year, also a lunar eclipse. On my walk home I could see how marvellous the light was and how it illuminated much more than normal. I had to do a plein air painting. Night-time is my favourite part of the day, or is that an oxymoron. There are less people about, dependant on where you go, more peaceful and full of mystery and its own unique beauty, especially by the light of this moon."
